The Scribe Digital Design is owned and operated as a subchapter-S corporation in Savannah, Georgia by Darrell Shue. With over 10 years experience in web development, Darrell produced his first "paying client" site in 1994.

Our Mission

Our goal at The Scribe Digital Design is to provide high quality, competent, and original web development and related services to our clients. We also strive to offer these services at a value to the customer. Maintaining quality customer service is important to us - our success is built on that of our clients.

Our Philosophy

Function first, then form. Originality, simple navigation, consistency. These phrases describe our view on web development. We try to incorporate each of these factors into every site we develop.

Usability is the first key. A site may truly be a work of art, with beautiful graphics and colors, but at the same time be extremely frustrating for a user. If there is difficulty finding information, or the navigation system is inconsistent, or there are broken links and spelling errors, the user will leave unhappy. All the aesthetics in the world cannot make up for poor functionality.

The look and feel of a site are, however, also extremely important. You are communicating with your users, and this can be done with color and graphics in addition to the textual information your site provides.

We design sites with consistent layouts, simple navigation, and true functionality, which are also pleasing to the eye. We custom design every site - there are no templates. We take the clients' ideas and collaborate with them to produce sites which suit the needs of both the client and the end user.
